Internship and sharing its practical aspects

                 

 "Share your knowledge , It's a way to achieve immortality."                                                                                                              " It is not what you know, but who you know".  

Whenever we listen the term 'Internship', develop either positive or maximum time negative attitude. But it is not true because that time only learning occurs by trial and error to the maximum. Going to college is a critical step, but one can easily enhance his/her classroom learning by gaining  real world experience through 'Internship'. In addition to gaining to great experience to complete classroom learning Internship allow one's to beef up ones portfolio.

Actually I was nervous and stressed because the next day of reaching to university has been decided for Internship. Accordingly I have started my journey with pain and tired health. After reaching to college  it was a cool moment for me because whatever I was expected it was totally opposite and quite interesting. Four of my friends already visited the college the day before and taught them about edmodo and the concept of ''childhood and adolescence and Growth and Development "with the method of team teaching. The day we started with creating of students account in Edmodo those who are not having and creation of a wiki page. All my friends jointly helped student teacher How to create a wiki page, the benefit, edmodo and its importance with a proper demonstration and calling few students to create that time itself. So, the day which was gone through like that. The day itself was quite interesting for me because we are getting a chance to teach them totally new things and student teachers are actively learning all these. The day itself most of them have entered into edmodo platform and few of them created wiki page. The day itself I have enjoyed and learned certain new things by doubts asked by the student teacher. 

Next day was quite more interesting because of team teaching and students curiosity of learning. In morning session we started with wiki page followed by e-portfolio. During that time I have observed the curiosity of the future teachers because that session itself more then 5 student teachers have entered. The astonishing effort of the students are remarkable. The afternoon session was started with blogger, how to create one's own blog. That is followed by team teaching by me, Jasmin, Radhika and Payal. For that I have used ppt, video to explain the concept of multiple Intelligences by following a particular teaching strategy (Gagne's nine steps of instruction). The time of team teaching I have observed the kind of positiveness, curiosity, eagerness etc among the learner and that approach is good to teach a classroom with pre- planned way with the help of  nine steps of instruction.

Last day, it was more pleasurable because student teacher are divided into groups to help them to cope up with individual problems. That time all of them made an attempt to create a blog and e portfolio. Few girls also stated their experiences of learning new information in their blogs. Afternoon session was started with teaching with the help of prezi a new approach of presentation by Durai, Shanti, Wasim and Dhanno. Finally, we said them to write their observation and send it to edmodo. 

Wowww..within a three days of internship many new learning had occurred. I have enjoyed thoroughly each and every moment of Internship from the morning assembly to the end of the class. The morning assembly was followed by various activities i.e; prayer song, Thirukkural, taking questions, news ( Tamil, English and cricket), today's thought, a story of morality and national anthem. In this respect I can remember, "The only thing to do with a good advice is to pass it on. It is never of any use to oneself". So, whatever has been advised I did it accordingly with inner desire to do. 

A sincere thanks for the gratefulness of the Principal of the Vivekananda college of Education, teachers for being  so cooperative and giving us the space to complete our task fruitfully, the students without their support the journey would not be considered as success. During Internship only I have enjoyed smart classroom that is really a good experience earlier it was a theoretical aspect for me. Learning is possible every where- "Never stop learning because life never stops teaching". A teacher who establishes rapport with thought, become one with them, learns more from them than he teaches them- is true for my case. I will carry the memories and experiences of Internship for future. Finally, thanks to day scholars for bringing such healthy foods and special thanks to Akka, jii Radhika, and sweat Pugazh. A sincere gratitude to our ma'am for making all these possible with her guidance and instruction. As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE IN PONDICHERRY UNIVERSITY

                                Reflections about learning in Pondicherry University

Learning is a continuous process from the womb to the tomb, starting from the life to the meaning of life with goals to the fulfillment of these goals. Therefore, from the beginning we are learning by experiences and other cognitive strategies like emotion and thinking. Regarding Pondicherry University and the learning experience of it, i would like to explain in details. I got information about Pondicherry University from my teacher  MUSA ALI who was a product of the school of education during my B.Ed. At the end of first semester, i developed my test towards M.ED and started collecting information regarding good universities, providing M.Ed with much pain and less leisure. That time i have selected three universities and Pondicherry University was one amomg which i have selected finally.                                                              

                                                            After coming hare the first thing I have learned that how is to become self-dependent and self-reliant. Here all the teachers are following/adopting constructive approach. All the faculties have their own way of teaching with certain strategies. In two year M.Ed programme many things are included like communication skills and yoga. In that part we have learned the practical aspects of yoga and communication skills programme by attending yoga camp, seminars and visiting Chennai. During that i have learned many new things by learning and doing. From the first day itself i am learning new things with guidance of the teachers, peer groups, by presentation, discussion etc.

                                                          One thing more I want to add that after coming in pondicherry university the craze of celebrating birthday of friends and looking  for party is become trend for us. Pondicherry University is the place where i have noticed peoples from different states and from different countries. Here i have friends from countries like Sri lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal and Bhutan. In Pondicherry University, I have developed international friendship which ends with regional friends. In classroom also we are from more than 10 different states with unique culture but sharing the common feelings.

                                                             Outside Pondicherry University there are many places which I have visited for the first time after coming to Pondicherry, starting from sea, Auroville Ashram to the Matrymandir. In each place, I have learned something new which stored to my memory. Now coming to the classroom, all 25 are from different discipline with post graduation and graduation. Whenever I am faced any problem, I simply consult with my classroom academicians( future teacher of teachers). Overall its a good decision and each and every step I am learning new experiences.

                                                                      ONLY one thing I am missing here is '' dhabagiri" and not getting much time for that.
